What are my chances??

Hey Everyone

I am a rising senior on the east coast who wants to apply to the following schools for computer science :

Cornell, UC Berkeley, UMich, Duke, Dartmouth, UPENN, and MIT

Here are my GPA, scores, ECs, etc.

UW : 3.82 (a little low because of the rigorous coursework)
W : 5.0

13 APs including senior year : Computer Science A, Physics 1, Calculus BC, Chem, Statistics, Physics C, English Lang, English Lit, US Gov, Human Geo, World History, US History
AP Scholar with distinction
5 on computer science a freshman year, 5 on calculus sophomore year

ECs : Marching Band (High Commitment), Varsity Tennis (High Commitment), Math Team (Consistently High Scorer, 3 time AIME Qualifier), Piano (10 years, Many awards), Captain of my science bowl team, Junior Achievement (Company of the Year, VP of Finance), Debate Team

National Meri Semi-Finalist (Expected)
National Honors Society

1550/1600 on the New SAT

Internship at high-level computer science company (since freshman year) for Javascript and HTML.

Based on this, what do you guys think are my chances?
What suggestions do you have that could improve my application?

Thanks!

As for MIT : http://mitadmissions.org/blogs/entry/its_more_than_a_job
Its probably the same case for the ivies too.
but your stats seem really strong
EC’s look strong too. I think you have a great shot!!

Thanks replying and for the link; it was a great read!

Yeah im not going to lie those are great stats, SAT superb job, maybe try to get your GPA a bit higher, will be hard to do with only one quarter before applications but worth a shot, definetly believe have a strong essay will even boost up your shots, my recommedation would be to pick your #1 choice or figure out if you want to do an ED app to one of those schools. Wont be an easy choice all those schools are great , but I definitely think it will work out for you, at this point id start to see who your top recommendation letters will be from, just let them know so they can prepare.

Cornell ED is your best shot

@raulhumber2 Thank you so much for those kind words, really means a lot! My letters of rec are from math teacher that ive had since freshman year and my computer science teacher (who saw me grow from a aimless freshman to a programmer who mostly knows what he is doing.) So i think those should be fine. I agree, deciding from those schools will be a hard choice but hopefully it will all work out! Thanks again

@ClarinetDad16 Cornell is one of my top choices, however there are one or two people in my class who have legacy there who have great profiles. Is this going to affect my chances? And is there a particular reason why Cornell is my best shot? Thanks for the response!

Size and admission rate.

Will another great student with legacy applying there ED have a negative impact on my chances?
