What are my chances?

I am a female junior with a 3.5 UW at a top high school and 31 ACT. I have 5 APs 3 honors and 1 Post AP.
ECs: Link Crew Leader (Freshman Orientation 3 years), Social Justice League- Homeless and other local issues volunteer group (3 years, 1yr officer, 1yr president), Volleyball, United Brothers and Sisters club, over 200 hours of community service, and have been awarded two Compassion Action Awards.
I want to major in Statistics, or Data Science/Analytics

My current top choices are,

  1. University of Michigan
  2. Case Western Reserve University -Dad is Alumni
  3. University of Rochester
  4. University of Washington
  5. University of Pittsburgh
  6. Purdue

What are my chances? Also, if anyone knows of some great schools for statistics let me know!

I think you have a great list, with umich being the only reach. Your chances at all of the other schools are pretty solid (maybe slightly less for rochester, but not by much). Your ACT is great although if you feel like you can do better, you have more than enough time. I’d suggest continuing to do service (the amount you have done thus far is great!), but also try to tie in your intended major into your EC’s. I’m not sure how to do that with statistics, but maybe you can do a summer program in math or something along the lines of that. Or, you can tutor kids in math. And, of course, maybe you can improve your GPA slightly, but with the rigorous classes you are currently in, I don’t think that’ll be too much of problem.

All of that said, your chances with your current stats are already strong! The advice above is just if you wanted a few suggestions to make your chances at a school like umich better (and it is all just my opinion). Good luck, and I’d really appreciate it if you could take a look at my chance me!
