What are my chances?

I am trying to choose between the University of Toronto or WUSTL for electrical engineering. One factor in deciding this were my actual chances in WUSTL (I believe its very low). Here are my stats:

SAT I: 1410 superscored (on the low end)
SAT II: I don’t think it will help my application, so I’m planning on not submitting them, but
Math = 690
Physics = 640
IB Diploma Program (Predicted grade in parenthesis): HL Math (6), Physics (5). Econ (7), and SL Spanish (6), English Language & Lit (7), Chemistry (6)
GPA: 4.13 Weighted (out of 4)
Class Rank: N/A
Essays: Pretty solid, counselor loved them, and I showed it to a few alumni from my school just for some feedback, and they felt it was solid too!
Teacher Reccs: Pretty solid, all were close teachers, and really highlighted me well.

ExtraCurriculars:

  • Varsity Soccer
  • Junior Varsity Volleyball Captain
  • Conducted Research in Universities over summer (talked about this a lot in my essays)
  • MUN Vice President
  • Debate Captain
  • Community Service club founder
  • Won a lot of national and international awards in debate
  • Varsity Badminton Team

I will ALSO be applying for FINANCIAL AID for WUSTL.

Based on this, do you think I have any chance of getting in, or is it better to choose to apply to the University of Toronto?

Are you a Canadian citizen? Then better chances at U of T and it will be way cheaper. Test scores are low for WashU.

Oops, I forgot to mention hahaha. I’m an international student living in Thailand. Cost wise, UofT will end up being much cheaper for me compared to WUSTL, unless WUSTL decides to give me aid. But the probability of that happening is quite low, as I heard applying for aid lowers my chances of admission, and that WUSTL is a little stingy on giving aid, since they dish out so much money on scholarships?

Definitely a reach. Your weighted gpa isn’t that high and your scores are on the low end. I can’t really judge your extracurriculars since you didn’t really describe what exactly you did.

What are my chances as an international student?
I submitted my application for fall 2018. I applied in their undergraduate business program. I have completed 54 credit hours. I have 3.83 GPA. I got 3.43 in my first semester and then two consecutive 4/4 GPA. I have a 4 GPA (salutatorian) in my high school. I am an international undergraduate in USM, MS. I am also involved in my ECs. I am student ambassador in the college of business. My act score is 28. What are my chances? Have any of you have received admission decision so far.
Major: Accounting and finance
Toefl: waived
GPA: improving significantly
Financial need: needed full-ride
Research: involved in many research particularly based on international corporate accounting.

I am very worried. Please tell me what are my chances based on your experience. How long do they take to send the admission decision?
