What are my chances????

My dream colleges are University of Miami and University of California, Santa Barbra
I have a GPA of 3.8
4 letters of recommendation
I plan on having my associates by the time I transfer so I’ll have well over 60 credits.
I have community services hours with shelters in my area as well as at a couple other places.
What are my chances of being admitted to either? Thank you for your time in advance!

In-state CA or out of state? UCSB does not accept letters of recommendations. Intended major?

Out of state, and double major in Zoology and Portuguese. Thank you again!

If you are OOS, then you have low priority when it comes to transferring although definitely possible since you have a competitive GPA.

Is UCSB affordable, since you will receive no financial aid and should expect to pay $60K/year to attend?

Zoology is under the Biological Sciences:
All transfer students are admitted as Pre-Biology Majors. Students may request to change your major after they have been at UCSB two full quarters and have completed their preparation courses. In order to change to a full major within the departments of EEMB and MCDB, come by the Biology Advising Office for a Change of Major Petition Form, a Major Progress Check Request Form, and assistance in program schedule planning

Have you checked to make sure you meet all the transfer requirements since you are OOS for UCSB?

Q. Can I double major as a junior transfer?

A. For information regarding declaring a double major, see: http://www.duels.ucsb.edu/advising/planning/major or speak with a College of Letters and Science academic advisor in the Transfer Student Center.

Thank you, I guess I’m just really curious about University of Miami now.
