What Are My Chances?

What are my chances of being accepted to an ivy league or Northwestern University? Around which colleges should I be aiming for? I am currently a sophomore.

Here are my academic stats:

  1. Freshman Year - World History Honors, German 1 Honors, Alg 2 Trig Honors, Symphonic Band, Chemistry Honors, English 1 Honors
  2. Sophomore Year - AP Computer Science A, Wind Symphony Honors (second highest band), AP Chemistry, AP Physics 1, English 2 Honors, Precalc Honors, and German 2 Honors
  3. PSAT 8/9 Scores: 720 math (max score), 660 reading&writing (these are from last year, I will be taking the PSAT 10 this year)
  4. Freshman year first semester I was in the top 10 percent of my class based on my GPA, my GPA has risen since then so I am not sure what percentage I am in now
  5. GPAs (on a 5.0 scale):
Freshman year: Unweighted - 4.1967 Weighted - 5.75 (I got a B in history first semester and I did not take honors band)
Sophomore year: Unweighted - 5.0 Weighted 6.0 (I currently have all As but it is very early in the year so it may change)

Extracurriculars

  1. JV Poms Team
  2. Novice Level figure skater for Moves in the Field (6th of the 8 levels)
  3. Science Olympiad/JETS team (possibly)
  4. Marching band/pep band
  5. Assistant figure skating coach (I don’t get paid, but it counts as volunteer hours)
  6. Marching band section leader
  7. Former member of a competitive dance team (I quit as it took up too much time)

Achievements:

  1. Qualified for an international dance competition (but I couldn’t attend as I had a time conflict)
  2. I received some academic awards in middle school
  3. Young Scholar (a program at my school for anyone who has a 5.0 weighted GPA or above)

Northwestern University is my dream school, but I am not sure if there is a chance I will get in. My mom used to work there and my brother went there for undergrad.

You’re a sophomore–you can’t know what your chances are this early on, because you don’t know what’s going to happen in the next few years.
