I’m currently a freshman at Oklahoma State, and am looking to return back home to Texas either next semester, or next school year due to the crazy expensive OOS tuition here. As far as Texas universities go, the only two I’m even considering are Tech and UT ( bc they’re in the Big 12). I was admitted to Tech last year, and almost went there over OSU simply because everything was pretty much almost paid for. Anyways, I grew up a longhorn because of my family, and always had dreams of attending. I never applied because I’d thought that after growing up in Dallas, that I wanted a break from the city life, and that a smaller school would be the best choice for me. However, in the two months I’ve been in Stillwater, Oklahoma I’ve realized that this small town life is just not for me. And I know Lubbock is going to be pretty much be the same, but at least the school is big. I would also like to attend a more liberal school, which is why I’m leaning towards UT.
I know it all depends on grades and everything, but honestly what’re the chances that I’d be admitted to UT for Fall 2019 as a transfer? I’m looking to major in Youth and Community Studies (College of Ed), and would eventually like to add a PR minor. Also, I started my application last evening, but is it too early? Or should I wait closer to the end of the semester?
