Hello I’m a Junior looking at applying to UVA, UMich, Boston College, Wake Forest, Brown, Univ Southern Cal, etc.

  • African American Male, Virginia resident, attend a private school
  • ACT: 33 (36 reading, 34 english, 33 science, 28 math) (will retake to better math)
  • GPA: 3.83 (93.45)
  • EC’s: Varsity Tennis (JV Captain 10th grade), 9th grade basketball team, Medical Scholar, Global Health Fellow (do service projects in Belize every other summer), Red Cross Club Executive, Fall and Winter NA TV Captain (sports broadcasting group), Honor roll (every year), Gold Medal National Latin 3 Exam in 9th grade, run a personal weekly podcast)

I think you have an excellent shot at several of those colleges. Brown and UMich are the two biggest reaches, I think, but you should try your hand at all of them. Good luck!
