What are my chances?

Hi! I am a senior and I live in Colorado planning on applying to the University of Denver, CU Denver, the University of California Los Angeles, and the University of Southern California. I am an Asian American and both of my parents moved here from Vietnam. I plan on majoring Psychology and a possible minor in Forensics. I will be a first generation college student and I also play piano and volunteer at my local library and have about 80 volunteering hours at the moment (I plan on getting 20-30 more volunteering hours this school year). My adj cumulative gpa is 4.05 and my cumulative gpa is 3.96. I am currently ranked 48 out of 496 at my school. I have taken 3 AP Exams: AP Lang (received a 3), AP Calc BC (received a 5, ab subscore of 4), and the AP Human Geography (received a 3). I plan on taking 3 more AP classes (AP Gov, AP Environmental Science, AP Psychology) my senior year. I received a 1470 on my SAT (Math: 760 Reading: 710). At my school, I am in Math Honor Society and National Honor Society and participated in the LINK Leader Program at my school. I was wondering what are my chances of getting into these schools and if there are any other schools in California or Colorado I should apply to with my current standings. Thank you!

UCLA for OOS is a reach, especially if financial aid is needed (you won’t get any).

USC is a reach, but attainable. The SAT score is good, but 1470 might a bit low for USC. Consider EA if finances aren’t an issues.

Surprised that you don’t have CU-Boulder on your list. That would be your safety. And if you are interested in LACs, Colorado College is a good one.

The question I have is what can you afford for college? Are you going to be full pay? Or do you need financial aid?

If money isn’t an issue, you are good. UCLA and USC are reaches but you are covered with the Denver schools.

But if you need financial aid, as @Hamurtle said, there won’t be any from UCLA.
