My first question is...is that 3.8 a weighted or unweighted GPA? If it's unweighted, your chances improve greatly for pretty much all of the schools you've listed.

The College of New Jersey has SAT percentiles between 570-670 for Verbal and 600-700 for Math. So, there you would be smack dab in the middle for Math, and a little below average for Verbal. The top 10% of a class does not make up too large a part of the student body, so you'd definitely have a good chance. Plus, it's in-state and public. You might want to retake your SAT to raise your scores a bit, but considering your GPA and extracurriculars, I'm not sure if you'd necessarily have to...just write a really good essay.

U Maryland has pretty much the same stats as TCNJ, but 1. They probably rely on the GPA a bit more, as it's a public school and 2. You're an out of state student...meaning higher SAT scores will probably be needed. U Maryland is getting more selective as of late, so you'll want to retake the SAT for that.

University of Delaware seems like a good match. Only 37% of students there had a high school GPA of 3.75 or greater. Your Math and Verbal scores place you in the upper 50% of the applicant pool. You'll probably get in here, though nothing is garuanteed...I would not call it a safety as this is also an out of state public, until you raise your SAT scores.

I can't seem to easily find Binghamton University...unless you mean SUNY Binghamton? If so, it's the same as University of Delaware, but a bit more of a challenge. More people here have a higher GPA, and the SAT scores range is about the same as U of Delaware. So, you might be in the top half of the applicant pool, but it definitely isn't for sure.

So, here is how I'd rate your chances at the following schools:

The College of New Jersey: Slight Reach (Match once you raise your SAT scores)
University of Maryland at College Park: Slight Reach (Match once you raise your SAT scores)
University of Delaware: Match
SUNY Binghamton: Match/Slight Reach

Even when you raise your SAT scores...you're going to probably want 1 real solid safety. Here's a suggestion for that...since you're already applying to one of the SUNY's it seems (unless I misunderstood what college you meant), take a look at some of the others, like Oswego or Albany. You'd definitely get into those two.

Hope this information helps!
