Any ideas??????

How people responded to this same post for other colleges is probably going to be about the same for your chances for Brown. Maybe a little higher for Brown.

ok thanks. i just decided to apply yesterday. i finished my app and sent it online but will they accept late teacher and counselor recs??????

Will they accept them??????????

i'm sure they will...a lot of things get lost/back logged so if yours comes in a few days late they won't notice/won't care. ALL of my stuff was sent in late, and I ended up being okay ;)

ok thanks. i was really stressing about that

Ok my app is all complete except for my personal statement. Do you guys think I should take the SAT over or do I stand a good chance now?

I'd retake the IIs. Especially, if you're doing 6 AP classes.

One more quick question. Today I was named captain of the wrestling team. Should I write to Brown to tell them about this?

sure, send a postcard or have your GC email the admissions office

congrats, btw :)

Is it ok if I write them a letter and just write that on it or do I have to do a postcard?

it really probably won't make a difference lol...if you have a lot to say, go for the letter

So are my chances looking up with this new position?

you are stressing too much but your test scores + gpa are quite low. It seems like a toss up for brown

I wouldn't say gpa is "quite low." A 95 UW or whatever isn't bad. But yeah, still crap shoot.

I wouldn't bother with the II's, since your ACT composite is already above average for Brown. They don't seem to be incredibly interested in high standardized test scores anyway, from the looks of their class stats on collegeboard.com

what he said ^

anywho, stop stressing out, you have just a good of a chance as all the other well qualified applicants. You'll be fine, i promise ;)

from what i've heard, brown wants students who are a match for their school.
if u have an interview, make sure u get your personality across. be yourself and let them get a feel of how you think.

test scores are only a small part of the entire application itself. just keep up the grades and do your best.

I got my grades from my first quarter and I think I recieved the same ones for second quarter. What do you guys think? Is this going to hurt me alot?

AP Psychology - 92
AP English - 94
AP Economics - 91
Spanish 4H - 92
AP Calculus AB - 86
AP Physics B - 88
AP Government(next semester)

I was hoping that calculus and physics wouldnt matter too much since they have nothing to do with my major in history.
