What are my chances?

I am a senior right now...I want to go some sort of graphic/visual/interactive Design at DAAP.

These are my current "stats"...

*GPA: Around 3.3-3.4
*SAT: CR:560, M:610, W:570
Combined of 1740
*ACT: (Not taken yet)

Honors Math (11) (Precalc)
"Superior" Rating in Science Fair (9)
"Excellent" Rating in Science Fair (10)
Entrant in School Film Festival (9)
Winner of School Film Festival (10,11)
Hunan J Chinese Restaraunt (11)
(Hopefully will have a job at a expensive steakhouse soon)

I am currently taking AP Physics, and AP Calculus, and will be doing a Career Mentoring course, hopefully with a local design or advertising agency.

As you can see , I have not done a whole lot that I can write down. I can probably put together some sort of portfolio with my movies in it, but I want to know how they respond to people in my situation, who don't have a very impressive record, but can at least show off some of their experience in the field through a portfolio....will they even get to looking at it? Is it going to be a really tough run for me to get into this?

Sorry, but getting into DAAP will be a reach for you. I won't say it will be impossible (thus you should apply),but it will be a reach.

Generally, you need about a 3.5 or better or top 10-20% of your high school class. Your SATs are also a bit low. Try to improve your SATs by 100 points and you may have a shot. Also, if you don't get into DAAP, Cincinnati has a pre-DAAP program that you would be eligible for. They do allow some transfers from the pre-Daap into DAAP. You would need to get at least a 3.5 overall at Cincinnati to make the cut.
