what are my chances?

I hope to get into Rutgers (not pharmacy)
I reside in New Jersey

gpa: 3.51
rank: 166/526

i did not yet take the SATs but i will probably get a 1560-1690 out of 2400.

Would that be good enough for a sure acceptance into Rutgers? or will it be a 50/50 chance?

Suggestions as to which schools in new jersey I can definitely get into?

I'd say it's a match.

You'd be sure in at the Rutgers branch campuses. You'd also be sure in at the other New Jersey state schools like Rowan and Montclair State. You'd be sure in at the TCNJ branch campuses.

you're being too optimistic, man!

i would never get into those schools.

I'm really not. Unless there's something big you're not telling me...

Those SATs are at the 25% level for Rutgers.

imafailure, you should change your name b/c you are not a failure.

"TCNJ branch campus"????

Why not apply to Montclair, Rowan, Stockton, William Paterson too.

TCNJ branch campus. As in, Ramapo or Stockton.

NEMom is right. Apply to some more schools; also consider Rider

Stockton, and Ramapo are completely different state schools. They are not branches of The College of New Jersey.

Also, do you need, or want to stay in NJ? If you want to reside on campus, the instate costs are not so cheap that you could not consider out of state public schools (assuming that you want to go to a public school). You might also look into some private colleges. If you really want Rutgers, you may want to look at Newark or Camden. Honestly, I don't know what your chances would be for those campuses, but I would suspect that your chances would be good.

Sorry...wasn't aware. I figured "College of New Jersey" meant affiliation. My bad.

Still, good places to apply.

^Stockton and Ramapo are pretty good schools, but it does depend upon major and fit for the particular student.
