What are MY chances?

<p>I go to the most prestigious public school in New York City.
I am ranked top 50% in my class.
My average is about a 93, which is a 3.8 GPA I believe.
Sat I: CR-680 M-800 W-710
SAT II: Chem-680 MathIC-720 MathIIC-800 Physics-800
I am taking tons of honors courses and AP classes, math honors for 3 straight years.
AP Euro-4 (did not take the actual AP class)
AP US History-5
AP Calculus BC-5
AP Physics B-5
Ap Physics C-5
AP Psychology-5</p>

<p>Extra Curriculars
-I am part of Key Club (volunteer organization) 10,11,12
-I was on JV football team 10
-I am on a varsity sports team 11,12

<p>Also, are there any recommendations for colleges that you guys would suit me well? I am looking for a large college with prestige in business. I am looking to major in marketing and finance.</p>

<p>i would suggest boston college.. their carroll school of business/management or whatever is really good.. and with your stats it would probably be a slight reach</p>

<p>Your rank and your lack of good EC's will kill your chances at most of those schools.</p>

<p>im just curious, did you get into columbia ed? you should have found out this past thurs. </p>

<p>you have a good chance at all these schools, considering that you are a student in NY. decent SAt grades and ECs; awesome AP scores.</p>

<p>Thanks for replying lemonice, but I am currently a junior and these are my scores I expect to recieve. My average is pretty much set at score unless I fail all my classes this term, which I doubt. My SAT scores are pretty much around that level, I can hit 800 consistently on the math, over 700 on writing more than half of the time, and hit slightly below 700 on cr. Columbia is my first choice, but I have been having doubts since my councelors have told me I would need at LEAST a 94 average or 3.9 GPA I believe if that conversion is correct. Also, I thought UPenn Business was ranked 1st in nation? I thought I would have about 1% of making that school if I got lucky? Same with NYU Stern, aren't they ranked top 5? I doubt my averages would give me a really good chance. Does anyone else have insight to my worries?</p>
