haha i just answered ur thread on cornell. and im applying here too!

wat do u think my chances are

you really have a 600 Math? you sure it it wasn't a typo?

If you have a good essay you'll definitely have a chance. Just make sure you don't really have a 600 math score...

i honestly don't know. Not that I think you have no chance at all! I just have absolutely no idea how to tell. I was just wondering about which school you were applying to (in Cornell) because I have decently similar statistics so I wanted to see what other people thought. that and I wanted to bump up your thread because I know how annoying it can be to wait for a reply. best of luck!!

it is 800M and 600 CR, it is a typo. so you mean the application essay is really important??

Your essays, recommendations, and interview if you have one are definitely important. As for stats on admitted students, visit the Admissions Statistics page. You'll see there that for last year's class, the middle 50% of admitted students had 670-770 on their CR, with 19% of admits having CR below 650 (and only 9% below 600). Since international admissions are so very, very, very competitive, it may be a challenge if your CR is 600. However, scores are not everything; in the international applicant pool, admitted students tend to have something special about them. Decide what you want to emphasize about your experiences and education, and bring that out through your application in every way you can. Good luck!

I bet there aren't that many curlers at MIT. ;)

I see, so i need to bring out wat is unique about myself so that I have a higher chance of getting in.
