What's with the 600 SAT I Math score but 800 SAT II Math IIC score?

Retake your SAT I in January.. (seems like your Math SAT score was a fluke (?) and the writing section is rumored to be the most teachable -- go for it!)

EC's are common, nothing extraordinary.

I'd say low chances with current SATs.. bring up SATs and I'd say 25%

If you package everything well, you should have a very decent shot. But definitely bring up those SAT's to above 700.

We have really similar stats, and I got in ED

I'm also
-Canadian asian male
-118 on AMC ;) (didn't put that on application)
-physics club president/lecturer
-some band/jazz/pit orchestra stuff
-lot's of math/science competitions, poor writing (3 typos in one essay lol)

I'll have to agree with the ~25% chance (that's with >700 SAT's)

for some reason, I cant bring my SAT score up. The first time I did it, I got 2 500s and 1 800. I really dont have time to do the january one. BTW the physics olympiad is ranked top 10 national wide.

ok, Grassroot, is your native language not English? How long have you been in Canada? If only 1 year or something, that 600s are acceptable... btw, how is your TOEFL?

I have been Canada for 4 years, i didnt bother to take toefl. But i kinda gave up SAT after the DEC one, so if i am doing it again, i need a lot of time to prepare again

if 4 years, only 600, a little bit low. 650 will be better. but keep this in mind, SAT is not everything. Your National Physics award is also remarkable!!! Good luck.

princeton has a wonderful english department, and it's an ivy, so i'm thinking you need to be good at eng to get in, and I'm pretty sure many of the ppl that are accepted have a higher cr score than m. =\ and again, many international ppl applying have amazing eng sat scores, so you may be at a disadvantage. however, your physics award is pretty good. you'll need a coherent story to tie together all of your ecs though, i think. (i'm not adcom, so plz dont take my words to heart... they just represent my thoughts) feel free to PM me.
