What are my chances

What are my chances for columbia? Its my top choice, because its half-hour away from home other than Sophie Davis.my stats are below...
Took SAT 1 Once: got 2080
Took ACT once: 34
SAT II: Math IIC:800, Chem:770

I have 4 APs (school only offers seven, and we only had 2 until this year, and I couldn't take AP Bio n Chem at same time)
AP US History-4
AP Chem
AP Literature and Composition
AP Calculus BC
All my other classes are all honors

My school has VERY FEW extracirruiculars (we are the 2nd graduating class), so I don't have many, I can't do many extracirruclars because my parents work from liek 8 am to 12 am, and I have to watch my two younger sisters...some are
Volunteer at a hospital
Key Club Member
Math Team
Service
Science Fair

Awards:
Voted Math and Physics Scholar
AIME qualifier

GPA: Weighted: 3.8, Unweighted: 3.7...have great foward progress went for a 2.8 to a 3.9...

And if anyone knows what regents are, my regents avg is 93, got 99 on US History, 96 on physics (highest in school), 93 Math A and B, 95 Global History, 94 Eng Regents, all 90s+ except Spanish

I also have great recommendations, math and physics recs span 2 pages each, and my physics rec comes for a MIT and Princeton graduate, also awesome outside recs from a Texas Tech professor, and Tufts professor... I also think I have a good essay, my AP Eng teacher said so....

so what are my chances at
Columbia
Cornell
MIT
Sophie Davis
Yale
NYU
John Hopkins
U Chicago and U Michigan-Ann Arbor

also have some moderates and safeties...St.Johns, Binghamton, Stonybrook....

Just curious, what would be my chances at each school (if you could do a percentage, Id really love you for it)...Thanks for all the help

make sure your counselors say that you're coming from the 2nd graduating class...your situation is a little different so i don't really know. it seems like you're stronger at the math and sciences. surprisingly, i know someone who made it to sophie davis with an SAT score of about 1100+/1600 but her average was a 99+ and she was very strong with the math and sciences (immigrant from russia)..but to this day, she doesn't know how she got in because her scores are the lowest she's heard of in the program. im guessing you could probably get to sophie davis.
nyu-- you're in.
johns hopkins-- i hope you've done some medical-related work or volunteering.
yale, columbia, mit-- probably not.
chicago, michigan-- okay chance, not a shoo-in though.
cornell-- depends which school within cornell, CAS..50/50, CALS..pretty good shot since its partially state funded.

im not sure if you can apply to sophie davis and cuny honors college at the same time, but if you can, city college and hunter are good picks since they are the only cunys that offer dorming (free at hunter for honors students)..i say this b/c i assume you'd be doing something with medicine? however, cuny honors has been getting tougher..last year, it waitlisted people who ended up at nyu-stern, cornell, and believe it or not HARVARD. but..i still think you have a good chance. good luck.

please don't let the adcoms know that this is the reason you're applying to columbia

Bigboy is completely correct re: top choice b/c it is a half-hour away. Columbia RD is an uphill battle for you; you've fighting the odds and you better hope to have something that will stand out.

If you're having a Tufts prof write you a recommendation, why don't you apply there? The pre-med program is great and acceptance to med schools is among the highset in the country (high 70's%).It's still a reach, but just as much as JHU is.

yea i wont, columbia's been one of my dream schools since i immigrated, its just a bonus that its so close to home

my dad won't let me go there...and hes got to pay some of the tuition, otherwise i cant go anywhere...but i wanted 2 apply there, heard there a great science school

Why won't your dad let you apply there??

personally i have no clue, im most likely going to anyways...but i think its something to do with male egos...the professor was my dad's college roommate and a good friend...i guess my dad doesn't want to portray that im going to a school because his good friend works there...looks like im trying to take the easy way, and jsut major in his field, and get a 4.0 GPA

You won't get a 4.0 just because you know a single professor in a whole department (I don't think anyone at Tufts has a 4.0 anyway); it also doesn't guarantee your acceptance. ;-) Tell your dad that! I hope you do apply, it sounds like a good school for you!
