what are my chances?

What are my chances to be accepted into Fordham? I go to a very good privet school in Uk, have a very good teacher's refference, i speak 4 languages and if I apply with no request of scholarship. But my marks are really not the best at all!
Thank you

what are your test scores/ gpa?

Well I got secondary school graduation certificates for:
Math: B
History:A
Art:A
French:A*
German:A*
English:B
Literature:C
Science: C, C
Religious Studies: A
Russian: A*

Drama: Grade 5

Its a bit different program in the Uk..

I also took toefl exam, but the exam conditions were terrible, everyone were talking even the examiners, I couldnt concentrate at all and so i guessed more than half of the answers. I didnt take sat yet, I will in late January although the deadline application is 15th of January. Im not sure about it, because I am not that good in maths at all and English is quite hard for me especially the grammar.
But I did write a good personal statement and have a very good teachers refference.
I really hope to be accepted into that school, it is my first choice and I am very worried about it.

Just out of curiosity Dver, how did you happen to decide on Fordham as your first choice school? Are you applying to other schools in America and in the UK?

I think Fordham is a very good school and I think I will get a very good education there, yes I applied to other schools in US, i think its a great country. Unfortunatly if i wont be accepted i would have to stay in UK for college.
What are my chances do you think?

Do you know your intended major? And what is your country of origin? Do you speak any other languages fluently?

I want to study international business or something in that area but i put undecided. I speak only the languages i put above fluently, its just my test grades arent good at all!

OK, what is your native language? Is it one of the languages you've listed? There is a reason that I'm asking.

Well its Russian-German

well, based on your grades, I think that you stand a strong chance at Fordham. I'm not really sure how Fordham judges toefl exams though.

OK Dver, your writing ability and general comprehension of English is apparent from what you've written here so the TOEFL situation shouldn't be a problem.

You should apply. Write your own essay so it reflects you (getting it proofed is okay) and directly address your grades. In addition, strongly present what will make you a good fit at Fordham. I think your Russian-German background is a bonus 'cause you'll bring a very interesting life experience to the campus.

Just don't major in math or science - go where your strengths are. That's what I would tell my own kid.

By the end of four years at Fordham you should be able to write and comprehend English superbly. Catholic colleges and Universities are famous for turning out exceptional writers and communicators.

Good luck!

Thank you very much all of you! I really hope to be accepted, i lived in three different countries and wrote a personal statement on my experiences. But I didnt say exactly what why i think Fordham will suit me! I will also take the SAT in late January, i dont think i will do well at all there, I took the test online for practice and in maths i just got 50% and in english less so! But maybe it wont be too big problem.
No, no i wont take maths or science as my major. I want to study languages, cultures and business studies something in that area.
I think US is really an amazing country and has a fantastic education even better than English one.
