What are My Chances?

Can someone help me out here? I'd like to know my chances at all of these schools and some advice on some other schools I should look into. I'm currently a Junior so I've really just begun the College Process so any advice you can give me would be appreciated.

Big Questions: Are my SAT's high enough? Should I look into more safety schools?

I'm very interested in business and read the WSJ and other financial news sources on a daily basis. I plan to take the Series 7 Licensing Exam when I turn 18 which would legally allow me to act as stockbroker. I am also shadowing an Investment Banker at JP Morgan in the summer of '07.

My father is an alumn of Georgetown University, is active their admissions program (gives interviews), and donates considerable sums of money to the university.

I'd say your good for georgtown, socal, richmond, NYU. Boston, Stanford, and UPenn are reaches. and i dunno about the other schools.

Thanks,

I'm interested: Why do you think that Boston College will be harder to get into than NYU (Stern)?

I think BC would be about the same as NYU. Nova is your best bet. The others Tyler mentioned, while matches, are by no means locks.

Erin's Dad,

Do you think Nova would be a better lock than Richmond?

just considering what you'll probably major in i would think boston would have more competition then NYU, but they could be the same.

Georgetown University (McDonough): Match
University of Pennsylvania (Wharton): Reach
Boston College (Caroll): Match
Stanford University (college): Reach
Villanova University (School of Busness): Match
University of Richmond: Safety
New York University (Stern): Low Reach
University of Southern California (Marshall): High Match

Bring up your Math SAT score, since you definitely need to be pretty good at math to do business.

You should work on math if you are interested in pursuing buisness or finance at a good school.
Have you tried taking AP Stat? That might cover low SAT Math for a finance/Buisness course.

Tyler,

After looking at NYU and Boston College's business school, NYU seems to be much harder to get into.

I should also say that I am a Native American. How much do you think that will help?

Depends what percent.

^and are you a registered tribe member?

No, I am not a registered tribe member, at least that I know of.

I'm 75% Native American and 25% Irish BTW.
