German language tutor (don't go off of my subject test score; I actuall do well in German)

That's about it.

I would say your in.
Bounce CR/M scores up to a 1250 or so and its pretty much a given.

Wait, I would not say that simply. Even though the OP's grades are really good (even Ivy level), his test scores, especially out of 1600 is 1190, that's below average for Ithaca. However, I'm pretty sure the OP is a match. I would retake the SAT if it helps.

Please chance me at:

Am I being dumb? What does OP stand for?

original poster

haha oh. I see now.

Oh, perhaps I should mention a tad more information:

I'm a white male from a non-competitive public high school in Colorado. I am 1 of 374 unweighted scale and 11 of 374 on weighted scale.

Why not work on CR and Math? Retake the SATs to validate your GPA and rank.

So, majority thinks I should raise Critical Reading. Sounds reasonable-ish, even though I truly stink at testing in general. Are any of you aware of the Park Scholar program at Ithaca? Am I fit for that?

Oh, and I got an 11 on the ACT essay. Does that raise any credibility? I mean, why would a school require the writing portion if it didn't look at it, right?

Maybe I'll just list my courses, and you'll see if that changes things:

100% in. as long as your essays are fine

I think your chances are very strong. A lot of it will depend on what major you're interested in. Some majors within the Park school are more competitive than others. You have a shot at the Park Scholar program. Definitely apply. I think they'd like to see more community service, but your activities are strong.

Good luck.

Oh, and thanks for your advice about park scholar and everything!
