I will be a junior in highschool this year, i havent had the best of grades so far...
The first semester of my sophomore year i got 1 A and 4 C's, 2 of the C's were in honors classes.
And second semester of my sophomore year i got 1 A, 2 B's, and 2 C's( both C's were in honors classes)

So basically i did not do well at all my sophomore year but i plan to get straight A's junior year in almost all honors and ap classes.

But i was wondering if i had a chance in being accepted to UC Berkeley, Santa Barbara, Irvine, Davis, or Santa Cruz.

And what else i should do to brighten my chances of being accepted to any of these universities.

Don't get anymore Cs. A couple of Cs on a transcript is OK. But 4 in one semester is awful. And for state schools, like the UC those Cs will drage down your GPA and thus your chances.

Berkeley- reach
Santa Barbara- reach
Davis-reach
Irvine-reach
Santa Cruz-match

Unless of course you have a goooood reason for getting those c's and you are able to explain that on your application. Make sure you join a club or two, play a sport, or get a job, or even join a debate team. You have ample time to do some Extra Curriculars, and you may even get into Irvine or Davis.
