Thank you

SATs are important in these colleges (more than your ecs. IVIES care about ecs)

Correction, I received a 1100 on my SAT's (without writing of course).

anybody? I know I'm not asking about BC or Vandy or UMich like everybody else on the forums but could anybody help me out?

a) what's your score out of 2400?
b) will you be studying a lot and retaking? honestly 1100 is really low

A) 1640, I know it is very low... I started my SAT course (Kaplan) yesterday, I'm hoping that will boost it by 200-300.
B) YES.

It's still hard to say without more info.

What more information would you guys want? I'll post more information, I just don't know what you guys want exactly.

Grades, AP scores, SAT breakdown, SAT IIs (if applicable), any leadership positions, and personal demographics would be of help.

-G.P.A. UW - 3.15
-SAT - 1110 w/o writing 1640 with writing
----Expected SAT scores are probably going to be around
1350 w/o writing and 1850 with writing
-I have only taken the SAT's, but plan on taking ACT's and SAT II's, but have no idea what my scores will be for those.
-I have been to three high schools thus far. I went to an all male Catholic school in RI (Bishop Hendricken) which is highly regarded for athletics and academics. I switched out because although I had friends there, I found the majority to be pretty annoying people. I then went to East Greenwich HS from the second half of sophomore year until I moved at the end of 3rd quarter of my junior year. East Greenwich HS is regarded as the best public school in RI. I am now at Harriton HS in Pennsylvania, it's one of two high schools in the Lower Merion School District (which is regarded as one of the best school districts in Pennsylvania). I started there from 4th quarter of junior year and PLAN on remaining there until I graduate.
- I am extremely musical. I play guitar, piano, mandolin, ukulele, banjo, harmonica, and percussion. I have recorded cd's before with a friend who produces (he sells beats to recording companies in Boston, a young Kanye West you could say.). I have also performed at a few coffee houses and many concerts organised by the high schools. I am taking AP Music Theory my senior year, and have taken voice lessons and guitar lessons with a very qualified teacher.
- I am a white upperclass male, and require no financial aid.
- I held a job fall of junior year in food prep at a supermarket. However, my mother made me quit because it interfered with my studies (I worked 4 weekdays from 3:00-10:00.)
- I was involved with Interact, a volunteer program at my high school.
- I worked for the RI Blood Center sophomore year.
- My sports are as follows:
JV Rugby - Spring 2005
JV/Varsity Indoor Track - Winter 2005, 2006, 2007, (2008)
Golf - Spring 2006

bump .

bump .

Many or most of those colleges are out of reach with your current grades and SAT scores. Work hard to bring them up.

^ i agree. if your SATs went up to over 1900 and your GPA goes up you would have a great chance.

are you going to be a junior next year or a senior?

...Senior.

I can probably get my SAT MUCH higher, but... G.P.A.?

Also, I want to go to LMU more than any of these by far. I think I'm pretty much a little below their normal student admitted. Would it be a bad idea to apply Early Notification for LMU? And also, would it be a good idea to send an admissions officer there an email? (if so, what the hell do I say?!?)

no emails. why???? colleges get swamped with emails from kids thinking that they're making themselves stand out. they wont give a crap about you emailing them.

So the only way I can get in is if I raise my SAT's and TRY to raise my G.P.A.? Sad...
