I took the ACT pretty long ago and havnt taken it since but i got a 27.
Im hoping that i can bring that up to at least a 30.

Ok so here are the questions.

I dont have a lot of extra curricular activities but do rec basketball team and those things count??

Im an international student and i heard that internationals are much less likely to be chosen. is this true?

I tried to do some researches and participated in some activities but i couldnt do them because of my status right now. is there anything that i can do about this?

And the most important Question! please help me out im so lost T_T

I want to go to a medical school. can you give me some suggestions of the colleges that i have some chance of getting into? I live in Kansas and someone told me that i should go to Kansas University for the first 2 years, and then transfer to a better college. Any opinion on that?

And please feel free to let me know anything that i can do to strengthen my college application, anything that i should be doing right now to get ready for applying to colleges.

It's hard ass hell to get into colleges if you're an international. REALLY hard.

The OP won't be applying to the most selective schools with a 27 ACT (or even a 30) and so I don't think being an international will be such a big problem. What will be a problem is getting aid. I think the idea of going to a public U. is a good one. If you can bring the ACT up a couple of points, UW-Madison would fit the bill. You would not need to transfer; it's a fine school.

Thanks! I really appreciate your help.
