Boys State through American Legion

That said, your ACT score is great. It alone should get you into Michigan State and UMichigan, as well as ND.

The rest are all low reaches to big reaches. Your lack of great legitimate ECs (Tennis seems to be your only one and unless you're recruitable it can only go so far) could prevent you from getting an Ivy.

What are your AP scores?

I think national honor society means something only if ur an office member....i might be wrong, my school doesnt havit

^National Honor Society, at most schools, means that you're GPA is above a certain level and that you're ranked above a certain percentile. Almost everyone who applies to a top school will have this.

5 in Calculus AB, that is all that I know at this point

I agree that some of those honors don't mean anything...

The shadowing doctors at a local hospital is on there because I am applying to a combined BS/MD program at MSU, so medical related EC are taken into much more consideration than usual.

Is the Boys State not worthy to put on there? It required an application, an interview, recomendations, and was pretty selective...

Maybe you should apply to the university of phoenix too.

Academic Gold Award (GPA 3.900-4.000+) Every Year
AP Scholar

These mean nothing as well.

Dang, if you're the top rank in your school, I don't think you have anything to worry about

^Harvard rejects half of the valedictorians who apply. It may actually be more like 3/4 some years...

Top ranking is definitely no guarantee.

thanks for the opinions

1/200- wow
