wouldnt hurt to try, i wish my reading scores were like urs im only at a 490, but my math is above 650. Goodluck, and also im planning on going to LC for Pre-Med, so yeah even if Rosehill is better.

also im not sure if AP scores will even matter, remmber you dont have to report them until you actually get in the college.

yeah, same here I am planning to attend LC for pre-med, or natural sciences. Much closer to where I live. yeah, am only worried about my sats. but better to try
I wish i had your math score. its awesome

I have to say, I really think going to LC for Pre-Med is a mistake. The science labs are not down there nor are the pre-professional advisors (as far as I know).

And I’d hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you are going to have to work your a** off to get into a med school in the US. They are extremely competitive to get into, and you have to take the MCAT. If your SAT scores are where they are then you will have some serious work to do in order to do well on the MCAT. Shal10, how is it that you seem so set on going to med school but have not taken any AP science classes?

And yes, I know AP scores are not required, but in considering your application as a whole they kind of do.

i forgot to mention am taking ap chem
i understand what your saying regarding my sats
but i have a question if i only take natural sciences would that be good enough to do something in pharmacy. I mean after going to graduate school

i did take the dec sats
there probably are going to be higher
610 or math
and 590 for critical

well if the natural sciences don’t work out ill swith to history
i got 700 for ushis subject test

worry about what you want to do when you get into college. if worst comes to worst, you can always go overseas for med schools, and it really doesnt matter that much. just apply and hope for the best.

my problem is that i can solve a calculas problem with no problem. But when its some to math a and math b i make the stuipdest mistakes. And the last time took math A was in 6th grade, and math b in the beginning of ending and beginning of eighth. And i never really bothered looking back and studying for it. well we’ll see what happens

^
“cousins man
different sats same ecs same employment”

You and your cousin really need to set up different log-in names, otherwise it becomes too confusing to help you if you want advice. But, with both of you having only a .1 difference in GPA and within 10% difference of SAT scores, and having the same extracurricluar interests, both of you are in the same boat as far as I’m concerned. I hope your essays are at least different enough to distinguish the two of you apart.

lol yeah
thats why we didn’t post in the same folder
mine is in the fordham folders
that my cousins is in the something else
yeah we have to see who gets in
and our essay are completely different lol

say what? your cousin is posting under your moniker on this site? too weird.

oh well. Fordham is not an easy school. Its shockingly competitive and VERY academically oriented. The work load is very heavy. The grading policies are leaning strongly towards grade DEFLATION.

So if you are on the bubble…maybe its best if…

No…I am NOT saying that. I am saying your stats are not exactly clear. You are under no obligation to post your personal stats. But if you asked to be chanced, then its best to put up your best (and accurate) numbers, and any other factors which may assist you.

Fordham is a great school. Its an academic school. The applicant pool is growing exponentially each year…from 15,000 to 22, 500 in three years…for 1,700 freshman seats. Acceptance rate is now below 40% and falling further. The quality of applicants is rising rapidly as well. Kids at Fordham are tight and they work hard and write a lot of papers.

I am saying, if that is for you, if you are up to the work ethic and see yourself as a “fit” for Fordham, then I wish you the best of luck.

Its always a good idea, however, to apply to several schools: reach, match, safeties based on your stats and your interests and “fit.”

Some kids do exceptionally well on standardized tests. They are lucky. Some kids are more modest on standardized tests but still very good students who work really hard…“elbow grease” gets them through.

Fordham has admitted kids with your stats in the past and probably will going forward, but its becoming increasingly competitive.

Dont’ despair, just prepare! Find 3 schools you LIKE with avg scores like yours. That way, if you get deferred by Fordham or rejected, you are not out in the cold. If you get into Fordham, then congratulations! And come prepared to work your behind off! Good luck!
