Hi everyone,

I'm in Grade 11, and I've always been attracted to Harvard, but I'm not sure if I would stand a chance getting in. Here's my information:

I'm Canadian, and I go to a public school, so no AP courses are offered. I'm really interested in literature and english and humanitites in general so I decided to only take one science course this year (bio.) I'm afraid that this won't look good, as I remember Harvard likes students with strong science skills. I'm just not interested in science....

Average - Grade 9 - 90%
Grade 10 - 92%
Grade 11 - probably 93%

Haven't taken the SATs yet...

Sports - In Grade 10, I came 9th at OFSAA (provincial finals for Ontario) in cross country running, and I'm a solid runner on the track and on the trail. I've been to 7 provincial finals. I've been on the track team and cross country team since Grade 9, I had two years on the varsity rugby team, and one year on field hockey B squad, two years on the field hockey varsity squad. I'm a big goal scorer, but running is my dominant sport. I run with a track club. My best events are the 1500m and the 800m, and cross country of course.

I have 95 + hours of community service - piano at a senior's residence, helping out at various events, etc. I'm a senior editor of my school newspaper, a regular contributor, and hope to maybe become editor-in-chief next year. I'm a member of the classics club, an executive member of the Girls Athletic Association, I'm in symphony orchestra, am working on my Grade 9 Conservatory Piano, and was part of my school's J8 summit team. I won the civics award in Grade 10, and the english award in grade 9. I won a huge book reviewing contest in Grade 9 through a big Canadian books company, so I have some work experience.

Well, that's pretty much it. Thanks for the help!
