Hey guys, i just wanted to know what you honestly think my chances are of getting into either LA or SD?
Here are my stats:
School: UCSB
Major: Pre-psychology
Applying to: UCLA, UCSD
GPA: 3.30
Preq's: done by spring
EC's: Research in the psychology department for the past year, community service during the summers at preschools (except for last summer),
My grades show a huge improvement in Fall 2007 because I had surgery over the summer on the bones in my hand. It was hard for me to get really good grades in my freshman yr since I endured a lot of pain. But, now my surgery has helped me so much. In the fall 2007 I got an A in statistics, A- in research writing and a B in abnormal psychology. What do u guys think? Please let me know.

It will be very tough to get into UCLA but UCSD is probably a 50/50 chance Psychology is usually one of the most difficult majors to get accepted to at the UCs.

UCLA- little reach
UCSD- 50/50 because your are UC transfer..
If you applied fromCC you won't have a problem for SD.

Ya, I know lol ><
I'm still glad I went to a university first though, SB isn't for me though...so i really want to transfer..

how come u don't like SB?

Well I really don't like the atmosphere at all...seriously all it is around the dorms in Isla Vista is get drunk..... honestly I don't want to be around that. I live in the dorms which is slightly better than living in IV, which is where most people live after their freshman year. Seems like you're kind of stuck in a rut especially if you don't have a car, you cant get out of IV and there's nothing to do...you're not really experiencing anything real...

LOL... i applied SB as my backup but o well... i won't go..

haha.... yea I mean..yes it's a great school.. it's very academically challenging, but it's just not for me..you know? Why did you want go to SB?

i just applied there for fun haha

well for one thing, i hear it's a great looking campus being right by the beach and all. but yeah, i can see why it might not be for you. as for transferring, i think UCLA might be a little tough but you may have a decent shot at SD. anyway good luck.
