What are my chances ?

Im trying to transfer into Rutgers NB after only one year at a community college. So, in other words, Im trying to transfer in as a sophmore. I applied to SAS and SEBS... its taking FOREVER to get an answer and its driving me nuts.

My college GPA is 3.87 and after this spring semester I will have 36 credits completed. I took a heavy Gen Ed course load (5 classes a semester plus a previous summer class). The only thing Im worried about is my high school gpa and sat scores. I had a 2.6 gpa when i graduated high school and my SAT's arent even worth mentioning. pretty bad. I got 3 really good recommendations in and Im also an in-state. Im just worried that my college GPA wont out weigh out my high school after only one year at community.

how do my chances look ?

I think it depends on your SATs, it may hurt if they are as bad as you say. What range did you fall in?

i just got my decision a few hours ago..and i was accepted into the school of engineering..i got an SAT of 1780 and 700 and 650 on sat II maths and physics...so they don't require very high SATs..but i had a GPA of 4.0 though, that might've helped..but i think you have a pretty good chance!..good luck!

Im really embarassed by it, i just BARELY broke 1000 out of 1600.. so SATs are not on my side.

brkr.. you did better than me on the SATs but are you a transfer student ? 4.0 is awesome. congrats on being accepted!

nope...I'm not a transfer student..best of luck!
