What Are My Chances

<p>i want to apply to the civil engineering department.
-i dont know if i should apply EA or regular,because im also considering MIT,Princeton,andCarnegie Mellon. (do i have any chances for these others?)
-3.4 uw,3.65w. rank(top 40%.=( ) class of 708 students
REALLY prestigious high school,though.

<p>Colleges don't consider AP scores in their admission decisions. What were your grades in each of these classes? Is that what brought down your weighted GPA?</p>

<p>i dont know what the "new" SAT is out of (2400?), but if it is, especially w/ such a high math score you're in very good shape. GPA is average. and im probably gonna get yelled at over this but being hispanic will probably help out also (they really want diversity)</p>

<p>I would apply but on the application check the box that will allow them to consider you for DGS. If you get rejected from engineering and accepted to DGS, you can try transferring into the department later.</p>
