What are my chances?

Hi,

I'm going to be a senior next year and have already taken 9 AP exams.

PSAT: Math - 75, CR - 79, Writing - 76 Total :230 (Should be NMSF - in TX, cutoff is 218ish)
SAT : Math - 740, CR - 800, Writing, 790 Total: 2330
Act : English - 36, Math - 34, Reading - 35, Science - 34 Composite: 35

SAT II's - Math IIC - 800, USH - 800, Chemistry - 800.

I did debate for 1 year, played 4 seasons of club soccer and have been in Academic Decathlon for 3 years (captain) and UIL Academics for 2. In Decathlon I was individual (regional and statewide) champion last year in my division. IN UIL I was on the state winning Mathematics and Number Sense teams. I've been in National Honor's Society for 2 years, NFHS for 2years, I'm joining Mu Alpha Theta next year, I was in JSA last year and am going to run for president next year.

I should be able to get at least 2 good Teacher Recommendations (My A.D. coach and my AP Chemistry teacher), and I fancy myself a pretty good writer.

My GPA is what worries me the most - unweighted, it is about a 3.81, weighted (on a 5 point scale) it is a 4.58.

I'm going to take 7-8 AP classes (in addition to the 9) this coming school year.
As of last year my class ranking was 20 out of 600, but because I got all A's last semester I anticipate a rise.

Thanks for reading, what do you think my chances are at my top colleges: Stanford, CalTech, MIT, Princeton, Cornell, UC Berkley, Carnegie Mellon Columbia, UT Austin, and Georgia Tech. (in order of preference).

The 1st 4 are my absolute favorite schools, Stanford being a cut above the other 3. The last 2 are really safeties, and then there's everything in the middle. Thanks!

You look fine to me. Your unweighted gpa is a bit low, but how many students can say that they've taken 9 APs before their senior year. Your test scores look about as good as they get, and your ECs also look fine.

Your AP scores could also help you out a lot. I don't think a school would deny you if you had high AP scores in so many subjects (SAT IIs outstanding btw). Wow 8 APs next year. How could you handle that? At my school we get at least an hour of homework a day in AP classes. I'd have to stay up all night just to keep up.

I'd say you're in at all of 'em.

wrong forum!!!!!!!!!1

thanks - i took 7 this year and survived (barely) - got all A's. It's 8 next year because eco and gov are bth 1 semester long.

You are a very strong candidate, but your GPA is your weakness (you already seem to be aware of this). However, I think if you write a great essay you can compensate for that.

NICE. you're definitely a very strong candidate.
