What are my chances?

So I've read that alot of people got waitlisted with about the same stats that I have, and I'm wondering if my application would be good enough to get in?

Public School -Mass

SAT II's: Math 2- 800, Chem- 690, US History -740
GPA: 3.5/3.9 (50/420)
14 honors, 4 AP's

4 years varsity tennis
3 years varsity cross country
Boy Scout- I am in the process of getting eagle scout but I won't get it until after I apply.

Occasional other volunteer service
2 jobs

My main concern here is my EC's. Would it be worth it to invest time in other programs, or would it be useless to only do them senior year?

One last thing. What are the odds of me getting a merit based scholarship based on these stats?

Thanks

I got a 14k scholarship with a 1530/2200 and 3.6/4.5. I got in for Early Action.

While EC's are important for most schools, I think NEU is so concerned with improving its reputation that it goes for students with high standardized test scores and gpa. So I think (others may disagree) that you will get into the honors program, but won't get the full 16K scholarship. Maybe 12 or 14K. Other schools that are more competitive, though, will use ECs as a deciding factor. If you do more ECs senior year for those schools, then it obviously won't hurt to add them to your NEU app.

Trust me, there are a lot of students who didn't do even remotely as well as you did throughout high school and who are in the honors program with large scholarships.

Good merit scholarship, you're good bud.

:) I got honors with a decent scholarship (like I said above) and I was in like, three clubs through all of high school.
