Hi ~

I will be a senior in TX.
My school was built last year, So my class will be first senior class.

First, i wanted to apply for Petroleum Engineering
and i saw some threads that recommended applying for easier majors when SAT and GPA are lower than average.
So, i will apply for college of geoscience and undeclared for second choice.

Does anybody know about how hard it is to get into college of geoscience?
i will definitely transfer to Petroleum Engineering after finishing freshmen year.

I got 1220 on my first SAT. (M: 740/ CR: 480)
AND i will take Oct. test and ACT in Sept. and Oct.

Weighted GPA : 4.5/6...
Ranked 65/375 (it's about 17%)
Ap : calculus - 4
art drawing - 3
Five AP classes in Senior year

100+ Volunteer hours in organizations and churches
Science Club Treasurer - State competitions
NHS member for 3 years
International Club Historian
Art club

My rank dropped down after getting C in calculus BC....
That's why i am at 65th in my class.... it was the worst teacher i ever had.
I hate new schools.....

I am QUITE sure that i will bring my ranks a bit to near top 10% in senior year
and get higher scores on SAT,
but i want to know about the possibility of getting into UT as of NOW.

Thanks for reading !
