I was just wondering what my chances would be of getting into TAMU. I'm an entering Senior this year.

Here what i have so far:

GPA: 3.1 w (i know its not so great, but only one aspect) It might also be up to 3.4w (it's a weird situation about transferring.)
SAT: 1860; 700 Math, 590 Writing, 570 Reading
ACT: 28
by the way, i will be retaking both of those very soon

Next Year I'll be taking
AP Econ
AP Stats

I've already taken (didn't do so well though)
AP World History - 1
AP United States History - 2
AP Physics B - 3

Varsity Tennis for 2 Years
Track and Field for 2 Years
Cross Country for 1 year

Taken Computer Science at my local CC and got an A
Taking Visual Basic there now

Community Service: I also have been serving at my church every other week since February.

In about 3 clubs. I'm also planning on creating one this coming year.

As TheJuggler was hinting at, it's probably going to come down to your class rank.

If you're in-state Texas, then you already know that top 10% in-state gets you into any public institution, of which TAMU is one.

If you have checked the TAMU admissions page, then you know that if you are top 25% and have a 1300 in SAT Math + Critical Reading, you are an automatic admit. So see to your class rank and raise that CR score 30 pts and you're in.

For a review admit with your current data, if you're in the top 25% you're probably on the bubble for a full admit but I personally would be surprised if they didn't at least offer you a Blinn TEAM slot. Of course, my opinion gets you nothing.

If you're in-state Texas and not in the top 25%, then the odds go down considerably.

If you're out-of-state, I'm sorry but I just don't know enough to even guess at your chances.
