<p>My GPA isn't as high as it could be because I was diagnosed w/ a chronic illness in my sophomore year. I wrote my essay about it, and it should be pretty strong. I know I will get two solid recommendation, one from my English teacher, and one from my Spanish teacher.</p>

<p>Hey, I'm applying to Yale too, so I can't pretend to know everything. Your class rank is what will hurt the most. Maybe get your counselor to explain the circumstances? And your tests scores and EC activites are average for Yale. However, don't let me stop you from applying. If I listened to what everyone else on here was saying, I would probably apply to my state school and be done. Maybe you can retake the SAT or try the ACT to improve that part of your app?</p>
