haha..and should i mention my skills at embroidery?lol..

If your referring to a major in biology (instead of course), I think you have a decent chance. In my opinion however, your GPA is pretty low (I would expect a 3.33 to be someone’s unweighted GPA). Also you make no mention of any AP courses you may have taken. Not taking AP courses when your school offers them is pretty bad. Other than that, your SAT scores are OK, but not spectacular. You’d need to have some pretty strong recs and essays to be really sure of admission.

Lastly, these might not affect your admissions chances but are my suggestions:

The “intricate stuff” that you did in your biotech class is actually pretty basic. Basically any intern is supposed to master them by the 2nd week (NIH interns any1?). So I wouldn’t say that they were really advanced techniques because it makes you look a little bad in front of people doing the advanced work. Nevertheless, knowing them is a bonus, just don’t say that they were really complicated.

If you are applying to Hopkins this year, I believe that it will be the class of 2013 not 2012

EDIT: Please do NOT consider chess to be an athletic event.
