Hmmm… I’m not familiar with the specific school you’re talking about, but you seem like a good candidate to any school, really. Only this is you’re kinda ‘boring’. No real unique catch.
Maybe more EC’s? Like some volunteering? More sports? Any other clubs you’re involved with in school? Languages? You said French, no? Highlight the French… I live in Canada and it’s mandatory, so I can’t really use that as a leverage point in any Canadian boarding school. Other than that, if you hold an amazing interview, write excellent essays, and get some really good teacher recs, than you’d have a great shot.

Also, do well on the SSATs, that’d be great.

thank you so much
i feel much better now

Is that for Reading and Math on the SAT, or is that counting the writing section too?

IMO, doing volunteer work for the sake of beefing up an application is fairly transparent to most admissions reps. However, if you are interesting in service related activities, speak with your teachers about informal tutoring for students who are not mastering the material as well as you. You may also want to tutor lower school students. It will show a very strong, sensible connection between you, the academician, and your volunteer assignments. Rushing off to the Intercoastal Waterway to rescue sea turtles at this point in the process may not appear genuine. Good luck!
