What are my chances?

I'm in my last two semesters at Florida Community College at Jacksonville, and will have earned my A.A Degree at the end of Summer 2009 term. I have a 3.52 GPA (college). I applied back in late September 2008 as a transfer student to UCF (even thought I now know that transfer applications won't be looked at until Spring 2009 semester). I submitted an essay (pretty good I think) and a letter of recommendation from a UCF grad. My SAT scores were bad (1020/1600), but UCF doesn't look for those in transfer students, right?

What are my chances for admission as a transfer for Fall term 2009?

Any other advice??

Also, does anyone know when UCF starts admitting transfer students (for fall 2009)?

If I'm not mistaken, transfer students who have an AA are almost always admitted, right?

If you get an A.A. degree from a Florida Public Community College, you are guaranteed admission into one of Florida's 11 public universities...but not necessarily the one of your choice.

That's the thing:</p>

From all I know UCF accepts transfer students with all sorts of academic profiles and is not particularly selective (certainly not anywhere near as selective as it is with first-time-in-college students). I would be surprised if you were deferred or rejected.

I have spoken with the UCF transfer admissions adviser in person (at Valencia CC), and she said pretty much any transfer student with at least a 2.0 GPA is accepted. So I wouldn't worry one bit. :)

I was accepted today! Thanks for all the advice guys!

congratulations! :)
