I have done 75 Hours of service since freshman year, prbably do about another 40 my senior year, so a total of about 115 in all 4 years.

My AP English Teacher says that I can get into a really good college because i have a good life story, im black and i live with my grandma because my mom is mentally ill and does drugs, and lives in a motel, i never knew my father
What are my chances and does my life story really help me?

so far so good. your gpa is on par with (if not exceeding) the normal ranges for those schools. You seem to have some good ECs but what about leadership positions? also, what is the rigor of your high school schedule?

your life story is very unique and would make an excellent basis for your essay. also, to be blunt, being black, having a poor background, and to be academically talented is a big boost to your chances.

however, a lot depends on your test scores. nevertheless, id say you could definitely get into those schools

if so, how competitive is your school

yea, i go to a catholic school on a partial scholarschip, we dont have rankings because theres only 100 people to a grade, its all boys school btw, but its pretty competitive about 15% of the kids have 4.0 or above, which is only 15 kids lol
