hey guys! i'm a rising senior, and i've been college searching for the past couple of months. USC seems like a great fit for me.....personality wise. GPA and SAT wise....i'm not too sure. i've only taken them once, and i got a 1050, and my GPA is around a 3.0-3.1. do i have any chance, or should i focus my interest elsewhere? any advice is greatly appreciated!

if your from South Carolina, i think you have a chance.

this info is from the undergraduate admissions pages:
Fall 08 entering freshman- 75% scored a 1090 or higher on their SAT AND had a GPA of 3.37 or higher. A higher GPA or a higher SAT can offset if the other score/gpa is lower. They did not differentiate between SC residents and non residents on that info page.
Statistics from this years entering freshman class (09) probably won’t be posted for awhile. The trend in recent years has been higher stats for each entering class.

Don’t let the numbers keep you from applying. Remember that 25% of those admitted did NOT meet the academic requirements posted on the admissions page. If you really like USC you should at least apply. Just make sure you hedge your bets by applying to other schools and definitely retake the SAT’s!
