I know thats a lot to consider, just give me an honest answer..thanks!

you’re very well qualified on both the quantative and qualitative scales. with that being said however, it’s really difficult to predict who will and who won’t get in. i know kids who had stats just as impressive as yours and didn’t get in. at the same time i know kids who had stats that weren’t nearly as impressive as yours and did get in. basically, you have a good chance but Stanford admissions is still unpredictable. i wish you luck though and recommend that you focus a lot on your essays.

Not that I’m against chances threads, but I read on another post on this site that 70 % of all applicants to top schools are qualified academically. Looking at your stats, it definitely seems like you’re included in this 70 %. So really, it’s up to the Stanford admissions, and I don’t think anyone here will be able to do more than encourage you to apply because it seems like you are qualified.

yes, of course, but in other threads i’ve also received insight on essays, what i should emphasize, etc. which actually really helps me make decisions when i fill out my applications. what i’m really asking is…do i stand out in anyway? i know colleges look for that. I was thinking the recommendation from by boss (stanford phd) would really help, as his recommendation was very very very strong (actually had to take 1.5 pages cause he had so much to say).

Don’t think that recommendation is going to give you a boost in your chance. He had so much to say. Good, now you have to express yourself through your essay that you are actually the person described in the rec. Can you make sure your personal voice will be clear enough to be identical to that person described in the recommendation? If you can’t, then that rec will only remain as words of kindness.

make sure you show yourself and not ur resume when u apply
after talking to many stanford admissions staff, its one thing that i know they dislike more than anything else
