Please give me some advises and tips...

anyone, please? : (

no chance. give up now.

Allykat, I hope you know jeb’s kidding.

I think you have a shot. You have good Math and Writing SAT Scores, and the Reading score seems about average for Berkeley.

You lack in APs however, if Chinese and Lit are your only scores, but all your MUN activities should be a good counterbalance to this, among your other extracurriculars.

Of course, it’s all up in the air, but it’s definitely worth applying.

Don’t apply as an Engineering major. You have a shot if you don’t

Apply as L&S and you have a fair chance.

Like I always say, essays are critical for the UCs. So work those like crazy.

If you don’t need financial aid (pay full price), then I say you can pick your UC campus at you will. It will be extremely hard for California kids to enter UC (who need financial aid) and much easier for OOS and international applicants. What a shame and UC should change name to “University of Cash”.

[UC Berkeley to admit more out-of-state students](http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2009/10/20/BAFI1A89U6.DTL&tsp=1)

I’m sick of hearing how UCs are officially **** now that they’re in a budget crunch. Admission standards for international students are still higher than for Californians. If the OP lived in CA, I’d say s/he had a very good chance.

If you don’t need fin. aid, check out some private schools. At some, that’ll be an advantage, esp. if you’re put on a waitlist.

710 in SATII Chinese= fail…
