“Decent amount of community service” … awards won? Leadership positions in clubs… that type of thing! I’m new tooo, haha I’ve just been stalking everyone’s

same here i just stumbled across this website and have been addicted for the last few hours since im so OCD…but okay heres my meager attempt at elaboration…

im involved in peer leadership so i lead a weekly class with freshmen in an attempt to get them comfortable with the transition into high school…i also have been involved with book readings and field days at elementary schools…ive done about 20 hours at the local soup kitchen…breast cancer walks…been a recipient of the varsity academic award for the past three years…used to play field hockey and basketball…member of REBEL…letters of rec from my spanish, calculus, biology and 11th grade english teacher…outstanding participant in the national achievement thingy associated with the psat and multicultural students…president of the spanish national honors society…my number one school is TCNJ followed by DREW…

thank you…i visited Rutgers over the summer and I found the New Brunswick campus a bit too spread out and large for me. Did you feel the same and have that change or do you believe its size is ideal?

I can’t comment on its size, but I know it has a very good reputation. Many refer to it as a sister/brother school to Princeton. I would not go that far, but will say that it has an excellent reputation and is highly regarded around the country and world. It is also a good feeder school for Medicine, Law and Business.

Only you can truly assess whether a school feels right, which is important as you will have to spend the next four years of your life there. Drew and Seton Hall may feel smaller, but I don’t think they have the name that Rutgers has.

your scores are in the upper crust of those students applying to Seton Hall, Drew, and Rutgers, therefore these are safeties. TCNJ is a match, so you re most likely in.

d’smom: very true. DREW and Seton Hall dont have the same reputation. To be honest they are more of my safeties. However I have not yet visited DREW’s campus. I will in a few weeks time and if it is as small as I have heard it is i will probably change my second choice to Rutgers rather than DREW

lewmin: Thanks, I hope you’re right as TCNJ is my first choice.
