My only B’s have been graphic design freshman year and AP Gov (will a 5 on the exam atone for this)? unless I get really hot toward the end of this semester, I’m getting a B in AP English.

Next year, I plan on taking AP Calc BC, AP Lit, AP Bio, Ap Physics C, and (maybe) AP Stats.

EC’s:

Boy Scouts
-Eagle Scout (just did my board of review). My project was building benches, pressure-washing old ones, and putting sealant.

Duke TIP summer program (summers after 9th and 10th grade)

Recommendations: i know several teachers around my school who really like me. I will probably get some good recommendations from them.

Miscellaneous:
I also volunteer at the library during the summer.
I also made the state round for MathCounts in 8th grade. (Is there any way to say this even though it was in middle school)
I received national honors in 7th grade for the SAT math portion. (see above parenthetical statement)
-Traveled around Europe.
-I’m almost certain my PSAT score will qualify me for semifinalist standing in the NMS search.

um i think you have a shot, but you never know with the ivy league school, its alot of luck. take a real sat then post your stats. nice ec’s though

This sounds a lot like my son, and he was deferred. But, he still really loves Brown, so there’s always RD.

how much like your son? if you were willing to, could you give me a full profile?

I like your EC’s they’re not that same old boring stereotype ones !
I think if ur passionate enough you’ll have a decent chance
but don’t forget your grades and class ranks you’ll need those too
Good Luck

my school doesn’t have class ranks, but if we did, I would imagine that I’d be in the top 10%. Our school runs on an honors-based curriculum.
