what are my chances???

My dad went to UVA and my mom went to Mary Baldwin.</p>

<p>I'm applying to:
-UVA
-University of Mary Washington
-University of Iowa
-UNC Charlotte
-UNC Chapel Hill
-UGA
-Ithaca
-Virginia Tech
-William and Mary</p>

<p>I'm planning on being a french/international relations major</p>

<p>My ACT score was 23...I know it's not high but I'm a horrible test taker so there is no hope. </p>

<p>I play trombone in my school's top ensembles which include orchestra, concert band, and jazz band. I've also spent three summers at a top music camp that requires an audition to get in.</p>

<p>My GPA is a 3.9</p>

-art history which prepares you for the AP exam
-pre-calc
-French 5
-Band
-Orchestra
-Jazz
-peer helper</p>

<p>Volunteer work:
Coaching special olympics sophomore, junior, and am signed up for senior year
Coaching special ed baseball team in the summer</p>

<p>-UVA---> It's a long shot with that ACT score, but I assume you live in VA from your choices. Try again on the tests, being in-state + legacy will give you some extra points
-University of Mary Washington---> Another longshot, but more attainable than UVA
-University of Iowa---> I know nothing about this school, haha.
-UNC Charlotte---> You'll have a good shot, if your rank & extra-curriculars are strong
-UNC Chapel Hill---> I know someone who got a 1300+ on the old SAT (comporable to about a 30 on ACTs) and didn't get in...good luck!
-UGA---> You have a decent chance
-Ithaca---> Could go either way, definitely take the test again
-Virginia Tech---> Long-shot, but not as much of one as UVA
-William and Mary---> See UVA.</p>
