What are my chances?

Just a bit of backgroundd so you'll know where I'm coming from. I'm from Singapore, studying in a high school in a programme set up in 2005. As far as I know, not many of my seniors have applied for any of these schools. Thus, I do not have any information on the type of gpa that would be good. My school's curriculum is rather accelerated in mathematics and sciences, though it is lacking in the english department. :</p>

get bunch of Olympiads, CCAs
SAT 2k2 up and work hard u be fine

Thanks! I’m in ODAC at the moment, though no leadership position there. :S Don’t think I would ever get one when I’m in this school…

EDIT (cos I couldn’t find the button): I am unfortunately stuck having only one cca – my cca trains during both cca slots, so I can’t take more than one. Olympiads, I have to be in that particular class, which I’m not. ):

Pardon me, I just realised that I can only edit posts for a short while before they are un-editable. facepalm Any opinions about the schools I’m shooting for? Are they too unrealistic? I rather go to a LAC as they are much smaller compared to universities, but I’m still pretty open to anything.

Hey glad to see a fellow Singaporean here. You know you remind me of myself, my Chinese hovers in the B range as well and I don’t hold any leadership position as of now. Hoping to be able to make a big difference to my resume in JC (I’m sec 4 now). :D

;D Join the student council! Or become popular and get voted in as exco for the houses system. I regret not joining the student council in year 2, now it’s pretty much too late.

I really like to see more Singaporeans like you guys who appreciate the value of LACs. Many S’poreans I talk to only know HYPSM or the Ivies (even top students)!

Well, I guess that’s cos many of us think never heard of LACs before. I didn’t know about them until I started searching for smaller colleges and realised that LACs were something I’m looking for. ^^
