(Junior year): English Lang, Art History, Psychology</p>

<p>Senior Schedule:
AP English Lit.
AP Macroeconomics
AP Goverment
AP Statistics
AP European History
& other classes</p>

<p>ECs
-3 years of NJROTC (look it up)
Positions Held: Squad Leader
& Unarmed Exhibition Drill Team Member -won at a few competitions & have competed at state level</p>

<p>-Girl Scout All 4 years
Gold Scout gold Award (only 4% of qualified Girls Scouts earn it)</p>

<p>-AWANA leader (basically a church leader for young children)</p>

<p>& I had to watch all my 3 brothers & 3 sisters every day after school
(My mom is a single parent & I'm the oldest)</p>

<p>Volunteer:
-Every summer, I volunteer at some type of camp for kids
-Health Internship under a doctor</p>

<p>Essay: Haven't started yet
But I have a few topics in mind:
-How I admire my mother (she had me when she was 16) for overcoming poverty while we were technically homeless
-The importance of an education, as emphasized to my by my grandfather & personal experiences with poverty
-How I feel that I don't fit in with Hispanics or white people
-About a boy who didn't wear shoes to school one day because he was high (I will relate this to how I have grown from an insecure young girl to a carefree, confident young lady)
-My love-hate relationship with God
Basically they are all really personal!</p>

<p>Teacher Recs: will be excellent, I know of a few teachers who absolutely adore me</p>

<p>Hooks: URM, Hispanic female
Income: less than 60, 000
School: Suburban FL, 80% white</p>

I'm not being conceited, far from it, but I've been told many times that I'm pretty
so idk if people are more forgiving or lenient of attractive people
lol sorry if that sounds bad. </p>

<p>There were alot of really good things on there, and I particularly enjoyed looking through your essay topic ideas. A well written and captivating essay could be your hook. Your SATs are your biggest enemy as of yet. Raise them by at least 150 to 200 points to be considered. Also, do awesome on your SAT IIs. I believe that staggering SAT II scores could really up your chances. Other than that, just keep working on anything you can find. If you could work up your standardized testing scores you’d probably be close to the 50th percentile.</p>
