UGA is my dream school(originally from GA) and I'm afraid I won't get in because of UGA's strict homeschool policy so do you guys think I have a realistic shot?? I also plan on writing a really good application essay. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

applying for spring admission..

I am not good with chancing but I think your SAT scores are a little low especially for OOS.

The class profile from 2009:
SAT-I Middle 50% of Admitted First-Year Students 1800 - 2080
SAT-I Middle 50% of Admitted First-Year Students (CR&M): 1190 - 1360
Overall SAT-I Average of Admitted First-Year Students: 1263

Your scores are below the middle 50%.

Is that your GPA based on the way UGA calculates?

Middle 50% of All Enrolled First-Year Students: 3.68 - 4.0
Overall Average of All Enrolled First-Year Students: 3.83

Have you taken the ACT? It wouldn’t hurt to try it and see if that score buts you in a better position.

I’m taking the ACT this fall so I’m hoping that I get a good enough score to not only increase my chances of getting in but also scholarship opportunities.

Does UGA accept the September ACT for spring admission applicants…I know their application deadline is Sept 1rst the test is about a few weeks after that.

And is there any real advantage or disadvantage to applying for spring/out of state?

that will be fine.

uga does not care if you are instate or out of state when they admit. all applications go in one pile without reference to residence.
