I'm currently a freshman at Colgate and I was accepted with a 1530 and a 3.8. I think you have a great chance of being accepted. I wouldn't suggest applying early decision with your higher than average stats. The class of 2009 stats are 1400 and 3.7. But there's no gaurantee because there are other factors. Work REALLY hard on your essays. That is very important. PEACE have fun senior year.

I'd echo what sam said. Clearly you have excellent academic credentials. But just as clearly, you are spreading a wide net and it seems your interest in other schools may be greater. Colgate's also a place which seems to have high regard for the ancient Greek ideal of an active mind in an active body. More importantly, Colgate seems to take their essay very seriously. If they sniff out that your interest is really elsewhere, you might be surprised.

yeah..agree with both sameerm45 and mhc48.... cant emphasize the importance on essays.... write a decent essay and u r pretty much in!!

mhc48: r u at colgate now ?

I wish, ahtsisab, my daughter is a Freshman there.
