There is a lot more stuff, but teh rest is just little stuff that he did for fun and he won't be using them on his application....

he has decent essays, good letters of rec, etc...

Yes, I realize this looks like a troll of poor quality, but this guy is real, he's just damn good, and he wants to know his chances at Stanford, IVYs, UC, USC, and some other top schools. Resident of California.

I wouldn't say his EC's are average, he had a lot more things I just didn't know them off the top of my head. Sure he didnt do any MAJOR researching or whutever, but I think they are solid. Yeah, he did mess up on a few of his SAT II's, that's what he was mainly worried about. Any more advice besides being a principaled person?

all of you guys saying all aisans are immediately tanked - that really really scares me. a lot. but what if my intended major is not maths/sciences. what if it is poly sci/international relations studies. am i still fried?

No, you're not fried if you "stand out." Meaning, if you have good scores, good ECs, and some sort of indication of a polisci/IR passion, it won't hurt to be Asian. What the supposed problem is 2400/math-science Asians who apply to MIT. And that's a stereotype. Lollipop, don't worry. Just do your best in what you are passionate about and that'll be enough show them that you're "different" from the crowd, Asian or not. The problem with this guy is, he has good SAT scores and is an Indian male from CA, but he lacks the perfect SAT2 scores that people assume all Indians get, so he isn't even "good enough for the stereotype," if you know what I mean. So that's what these people think "hurts" him. But what adcoms think is anyone's guess. Anyway, chill, it's ok to be Asian. And it certainly doesn't hurt to go into a humanities-type field. That's what this Asian is gonna do.
