What are my odds? C

Hi! I am currently a high school junior in CA, and my dream school is CU Boulder to their College of Engineering, either studying Mechanical or Aerospace. Would anyone be willing to take a quick look at my stats and tell me if I could get in/and or if I have any possible negotiating room as far as tuition?

CU Boulder would be a major safety for you. You might not even have to retake the SAT if this is your dream school. You might want to look at more reach and match schools.

Oh okay, thank you! Good to know!

The middle 50 percentile range for admitted students for the engineering school is 1310-1480. https://www.colorado.edu/admissions/first-year/selection

Nonresident cost of attendance for engineering is 57k. Assume no need-based aid. https://www.colorado.edu/bursar/costs/fallspring-costs/undergraduate-nonresident

You’ll definitely bet admitted to the university itself, and probably engineering. If you want to be safe, try to get your SAT about a 1400 if possible, but if not you still have a good shot. Your GPA is actually slightly above the average for admitted engineering students, so it’s looking good for you.
