What are my odds? Please help!

Hi everyone! Here is my information:

GPA:
U/W: 3.33
Weighted: 3.52

ACT:
Best composite: 27
Superscore: 28
(Does it help that I got a 10 on my writing? I don't understand if this score helps or not!)

AP/Honors:
2 years of Spanish Honors, AP Psychology, AP Lang and Comp, and this upcoming year AP Lit and Comp and AP Micro/Macro Economics.

Extra-curricular activities:
Best Buddies Club (3+ years), Student-Run Talent Show (3+ years), Peer helping (2+ years), Stage Crew (1+ year(s)), Lacrosse (2 years), Jewish Teach Leadership Initiative Program (1+ year(s)), camp counselor at a day camp (2+ years), Program Assistant at an Organization for people with disabilities (1+ year(s)).

I'm going to be a senior in the fall at one of the top five public schools in my state. I understand that my GPA may be lacking, but I had a difficult transition to high school and didn't do so well... This past semester as a junior I was able to get almost all A's except for my AP English class and math class so I'm wondering if colleges will take the upward trend in my GPA into consideration as well as my high school? That is what my school's college counselor told me. I'm considering applying to Boston University as an early decision applicant.

The schools I'm looking at include:
Boston University (1st choice)
George Washington University
American University
Northeastern University
Syracuse University
Indiana University
University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
University of Minnesota Twin Cities
University of California Santa Barbara
University of Denver

Please please let me know what everyone thinks! Thanks so much!

anyone…?

Boston University = high reach (I know one person going and they had like a 3.8-3.9)
George Washington University = high reach
American University = mid reach
Northeastern University = high reach
Syracuse University = high reach (again I know somebody attending who had much stronger grades).

I don’t know enough about the rest of the schools, so I can’t speak to them.

Your stats are good, but most if not all of your list is schools that are very competitive/probably slightly unrealistic. They are all schools where you should probably have at least a 3.7 unweighted to have a good shot. Also in terms of excuses for poor grades (in the eyes of admissions people) struggling with the transition to high school is not the best excuse. The upward trend will help though.

I suggest applying to one or two as reaches, but I also suggest finding some more matches/safeties.
